"No man in this country is under the smallest obligation, moral or other, so to arrange his legal relations to his business or to his property as to enable the Inland Revenue to put the largest possible shovel into his stores. The Inland Revenue is not slow-and quite rightly-to take every advantage which is open to it under the taxing statutes for the purpose of depleting the taxpayer's pocket. And the taxpayer is, in like manner, entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Inland Revenue." Lord Clyde, President of the Court of Session in Scotland, in Ayrshire Pullman Motor Services and Ritchie v IRC (1929) 14 TC 754; 8 ATC 531.

Are you losing precious time trying to keep your books straight?

Your time is far too valuable to waste trying to keep your own books. You need to concentrate on selling.
I will visit you and discuss your requirements, without any obligation and with no charge.

I provide a flexible service which is tailored to your needs.
I can either visit you or process your paperwork via the mail. If I visit you, then I can either use your own equipment, or bring my own laptop with software loaded.

I observe the bye-laws, regulations and ethical guidelines of the Institute of Financial Accountants, who are also granted supervisory authority by HM Treasury in accordance with the Money Laundering Regulations 2007(MLR 2007).

I aim to provide a high quality of service at all times and welcome any suggestions on how to improve your customer experience.

In accordance with my professional body rules I am required to hold professional indemnity insurance.
I am insured with;

			Arthur J. Gallagher
			Becket House
			Vestry Road
			TN14 5EL
			Tel : 01732 744700
My Qualification
I am fully qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants and my designatory letters are FFA.
The Institute of Financial Accountants is accredited by the government body OFQUAL (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) who give formal recognition to bodies and organisations that deliver qualifications and assessments. The Institute is also a Member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), together with the major UK chartered accountancy bodies. The IFAC organisation is regarded as the international equivalent of the UK CCAB (Consultative Committe of Accountancy Bodies).

Call in an expert.

I keep proper books of account including Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledgers, extracting a Trial Balance at the end of the period and reconciling fixed assets, trade debtors and creditors, bank and cash accounts.

Now you can do what you do best - sell to your customers!

Your VAT Return and payroll will be prepared regularly and on time. Once I have the books balanced we prepare Management Accounts which report on how your business is performing (Profit & Loss Account) and also how much the business is worth (Balance Sheet).

Year End and stuff

I will provide your accountant with a year end pack which will contain all the information he/she needs to prepare your Final Accounts and Tax Return.
I also, of course, liaise with your accountant on all matters regarding your books.
